NGO Breaking the Silence releases "The Perimeter" report on Gaza In late March, Israel’s defense minister warned that large parts of Gaza would be annexed if Hamas failed to release the remaining Israeli hostages. Just two weeks later, over half of the territory has reportedly become inaccessible to Palestinians, with the Israeli military converting vast areas—once densely populated—into a security or "buffer zone." Last week, the Israeli NGO Breaking the Silence released a report titled "The Perimeter," featuring testimonies from Israeli soldiers who said they were ordered to turn the area into a so-called “kill zone,” where anyone entering—civilian or not—could be targeted.
