European leaders fall short of 'reassurance force' agreement Ukraine's European allies showed unity on continuing sanctions on Russia as they met to discuss security measures for Ukraine on Thursday, but remained divided by the idea of sending French and UK troops to enforce any truce. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer nonetheless insisted Europe was "getting its act together", while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the US to increase its support.
