Workers take down Olympic rings from Eiffel Tower – for now Although the Olympic rings have been taken down from the Eiffel Tower, a proposal by Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo would see the iconic monument adorned with lighter, less prominent versions of the symbol in tribute to the success of the 2024 Olympics.
