At least four people are dead after Palestinian gunmen opened fire near the Israeli settlement Eli. The shooting occurred at a gas station. Violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has escalated over the past year, particularly since the hard-right government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took power in December. On Monday six Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces during a raid into Jenin refugee camp. That raid included the rare use of an Israeli helicopter firing missiles.
