'We’re tired of this life': Displaced Palestinians in Gaza face disease and hunger Displaced Palestinians are being squeezed into ever tighter areas of the Gaza Strip, prompting outbreaks of illness and disease, to which malnourished children are particularly vulnerable. Fears have mounted for those sheltering in the far southern city of Rafah, after Israeli warnings it was the next target of its campaign to eradicate Hamas. "We're tired of this life," said one Palestinian man. The UN says the population is at imminent risk of famine, with a quarter of people already starving.
