Thousands protest in Washington as Netanyahu addresses US Congress Thousands of protesters flooded the streets of Washington on Wednesday, in opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Binjamin Netanyahu's visit and his address to a joint session of US Congress Wednesday afternoon. The Israeli prime minister drew boos from US lawmakers during his speech when he criticised protesters outside as "Iran's useful idiots."
