Super Typhoon Yagi hits Vietnam after leaving deadly trail in China, Philippines The death toll in Vietnam rose to at least four after Super Typhoon Yagi made landfall on Saturday with winds exceeding 149 kilometres (92 miles) an hour. More than a dozen others have so far been reported missing. Yagi earlier pummelled southern China and Philippines, killing at least 24, with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV reporting that Yagi had prompted the evacuation of around 460,000 people there.
