Sport fever: Syrian NGO hosts 'Paralympics' in Idlib While the 2024 Paralympics are in full swing in Paris, athletes are lighting an Olympic torch of their own in Syria. For the first time, a local NGO is organising a sports tournament for more than 300 people with disabilities in Idlib. The athletes will compete across various disciplines including football, weightlifting, volleyball and swimming.
