Senegal: Opposition protests held in Dakar in run-up to elections Scuffles broke out this Friday near the home of Senegalese opposition leader Osman Sonko in the capital Dakar. Sonko had called for his supporters to gather to demonstrate against the government's decision to bar him from elections next month. Also in this edition: Rwandan police kill a Congolese soldier who had crossed the border and fired on security forces. Finally, the Congolese diaspora in Brussels hail the return of a tooth belonging to slain anti-imperialist icon Patrice Lumumba.
