Senegal opposition leader Ousmane Sonko convicted to two-month suspended prison A short while ago, acourt in Dakar, Senegal has sentenced opposition leader Ousman Sonko to a 2-month suspended sentence on charges of defamation. Yesterday, tensions were running high in the Senegalese capital when security forces fired tear and stun grenades to disperse supporters of Sonko.
