Niger coup aftermath: Junta appoints new ministers and rejects talks The military junta in Niger appears to be trying to consolidate its power, two weeks after the coup d'etat. It has appointed new cabinet ministers and rejected the latest attempts to re-install democratically elected president, Mohamed Bazoum. Tomorrow, the regional body ECOWAS is holding an emergency meeting to consider its options, that includes military intervention. FRANCE 24's Emerald Maxwell explains.
