More than 570,000 'starving' as Gaza Strip faces risk of famine, UN report says More than half a million people in Gaza are starving due to insufficient food entering the territory since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, a UN report said Thursday. The reports came after the UN Security Council again delayed a vote on a new resolution calling for a ceasefire and desperately needed aid as envoys wrangled over key wording to avoid another US veto.
