Microplastics found at higher concentrations in human brains The tiny bits of plastic pollution that make their way from the environment into our bodies accumulate at much higher concentrations in the human brain than in other organs, a new study shows. Microplastics are broken down from plastic waste and can be found across the planet, people then consume the particles through food, water and even air.
