French court acquits man who said he killed incurably ill wife at her request A man who said he had killed his incurably ill wife at her request was found not guilty of her murder by a French court on Wednesday. The prosecution had requested eight years in prison for Bernard Pallot, 78. While France's parliament debated a controversial right-to-die bill this year, euthanasia remains illegal in France.
