France: New bill separating assisted dying from palliative care debated in parliament Today in France, the parliament is debating a legal framework that would give people the right to die. French president Emmanuel Macron introduced the bill last year after years of planning. In this new version of the bill, it's being split into two – with one bill on assisted dying, the other on palliative care.
