France gets conditional approval to host 2030 winter Olympics Just two days before the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony kicks off, France was granted conditional approval to host the 2030 Winter Olympics. Set to take place in the French Alps, the green light was given by the International Olympic Committee on Wednesday under the condition that the next prime minister gives a financial “guarantee” for hosting the Games.
