Flooding wreaks havoc across Europe Heavy rains and floods hit parts of Germany. Officials in one region have declared the state of emergency. There is also concern about heavy flooding in Italy. In both countries, hundreds of people were advised to leave their homes as rivers threatened to burst their banks.
