Ceremony of ceremonies: Final dance on Champs Elysées for Paris Olympics It's the ceremony of ceremonies: France is throwing one last party for the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games with a grand parade of French athletes and event organisers. "This is indeed the aim to portray everybody who is part of the Olympics", FRANCE 24 Sports Journalist James Vasina said, adding that some 300 people will take part in the parade including the volunteers. About 70,000 spectators are expected along the parade’s route on the French capital’s famed avenue that will end on a ring-shaped stage around the Arc de Triomphe monument.
