Bangladesh PM Hasina says opposition to blame for deadly unrest, maintains curfew Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said a curfew imposed last week following days of clashes between protesters and security forces would be lifted when the situation improved. Days of student-led protests that turned deadly prompted the government to shut down internet services, impose a curfew and deploy the army. A top court on Sunday agreed to scrap many of the proposed quotas after at least 147 people were confirmed dead in the violence.
