African climate summit: Continent seeks to tap investment on climate action A landmark climate summit has kicked off in the Kenyan capital. More than 30,000 delegates and over 40 African heads of state are in Nairobi for the three day summit. Climate change represents both opportunity and huge obstable for the continent. It's responsible for only about 3% of the emissions that have caused the crisis but is heating up faster than anywhere else. Kenyan president William Ruto says Africa could be entirely renewable energy self sufficient but currently only three perscent of global energy investment are made there. The summit aims to put African needs at the centre of global climate conversations. FRANCE 24's Olivia Bizot has more.
