50 euros for all: One French town's solution to cost of living crisis The town of Denain in northern France is handing out 50 euros to each of its residents, regardless of income, as a measure to combat rising inflation and soaring food prices. It is the second year running that the town, one of the poorest in the country, has run the scheme.
